History

The company was started in 1937 by Allen Meyers in Tecumseh, Michigan and originally only made airplanes.
After World War II Meyers began creating design concepts for small boats made from aircraft aluminum.
In the 1950's, Meyers began production on small aluminum boats.
In 1968, Meyers stopped production of airplanes, but continued to produce boats.
Meyers Boat Company purchased Sportspal, a canoe manufacturer in 1978.
In 1991, Meyers Boat Company came under the current ownership and moved to its current location in Adrian, Michigan.
